The Reason for the Season

Wow - here it is almost Christmas and I haven't blogged since the summer - I thought I would be better at it but the computer is not my favorite place to be - I like to be doing things - laundry, cooking, cleaning or school and lately The Blog has been set aside. I wish I had wonderful and wise things to say like the blogs I read from the other women from church...I've never been good putting what I think on paper. I will say that I love Jesus and am thankful that I can home school my kids and train them in the way of the the Lord - I'm thankful for my church and family and the Bible and that I have freedom to be involved in these things. Nothing is more important and that is what I want for my family and kids - to be personally involved with Jesus - and that feeling of fullness that comes from reading His Word and drawing near to Him. He is the Reason for the Season!

The Joys of Summer

The summer has flown by - sigh!! - but I look forward to the new changes and routines and holidays that fall and winter bring. We've had a wonderful summer - with camping and swimming and playing with friends and having sleepovers - the fun never stopped!!
We had a chipmunk get in our house - unfortunately we didn't get any pics of that - and we had (still do) some big spiders in the house - is it time for hibernation yet?

Good Bye Barkus

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that Barkus has been sent packing - with his little doggie basket and blanket, his knotted sockies, his chewy toys and treats have all been packed up and.....well - Barkus' time at the Seffinga household has come to an end - we concluded that we are not a pet family - at least not a pet with a dog that has abandonment issues - so with that said - we bid Barkus a tearful (not on mommy's part) good bye and wish him well at his new owners house! Bye Bye Barkus - xoxox
